Helping Bring Trust to Life in Grand Rapids
Some projects are especially meaningful because they’re happening right here in the community we call home.
Drost Electric had the opportunity to complete electrical work for Trust, a Grand Rapids restaurant created by Chef Trimell Hawkins.
Chef Hawkins is a Marine Corps veteran, award-winning chef and graduate of the Secchia Institute for Culinary Education. His work has helped shape West Michigan’s modern dining scene through a style rooted in memory, culture, seasonality and thoughtful execution.
Trust is his most personal restaurant project to date: an intimate multi-course tasting experience where the lighting, atmosphere, equipment and design all contribute to the guest experience.
Helping another local business owner bring a vision like this to life is exactly the kind of work we’re proud to be part of in Grand Rapids.

Duplex & Triplex Electrical Service Upgrades
Multi-unit renovations can require a completely different approach to residential electrical work, especially when individual units need to be separated onto their own electrical services.
Drost Electric recently completed service-upgrade work on both a duplex and a triplex project in the Grand Rapids area.
One of the properties originally relied on a single electrical panel and needed the system separated into independent electrical services, with dedicated panels and meters for the individual units.
This type of work requires careful planning so each unit has a properly organized electrical service while also creating a clean, professional finished installation for the property owner.
We’re especially thankful for the Drost Electric team members who go above and beyond on projects like these. Clean panel work, organized service equipment and careful attention to detail make a big difference in the finished result.
